Ambassador Didier Chambovey met with Secretary-General Kristinn F. Árnason on 5 September 2016 in Geneva to present his credentials as Switzerland’s representative to EFTA.

Ambassador Chambovey took up his duties as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Switzerland to EFTA, the WTO and other international organisations in Geneva on 1 September 2016, succeeding Mr Remigi Winzap.
Previously, he served as Federal Council Ambassador and Delegate for Trade Agreements, and head of the World Trade Division in the Swiss Foreign Economic Affairs Directorate. From 2006 to 2011 he served as the Deputy Secretary-General of EFTA. He also served as deputy head of the Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the WTO and EFTA between 1998 and 2006.
