
Inflation rates for EFTA countries published by Eurostat

Inflation rates for Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and the 27 EU Member States were presented in a Eurostat news release on 16 November 2010.
Figures for Iceland showed a considerable decrease in annual inflation from 13.8% in October 2009 to 4.6% in October 2010. In Iceland the monthly rate was 0.7% in October this year. In Norway and Switzerland annual inflation increased from 0.8% and -1.0% respectively in October 2009 to 1.7% and 0.2% in October 2010.
EU27 annual inflation was 2.3% in October 2010, up from 2.2% in September. A year earlier the rate was 0.5%. In October this year, the lowest annual rates were observed in Ireland (-0.8%), Latvia (0.9%) and Slovakia (1.0%), and the highest in Romania (7.9%), Greece (5.2%) and Estonia (4.5%). Compared with September 2010, annual inflation rose in 15 EU Member States, remained stable in six and fell in five.
