Annex V to the EFTA-Turkey FTA

The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the Republic of Turkey and the EFTA countries was signed on 10 December 1991 and entered into force on 1 April 1992. The FTA was modernised in 2018 and entered into force on 1st October 2021 and replaces the Agreement of 1992. The FTA covers a broad range of areas including tariff reductions, rules of origin, public procurement, state aid, intellectual property rights and technical regulations.

Annex V (former Protocol E) to the FTA establishes an MRA between the parties. More precisely, the Annex is an agreement between the parties to recognise and accept the results of conformity assessments performed by Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) of the parties.

Notified and accepted conformity assessment bodies (Article 4)

The parties agree to mutually accept the results of conformity assessment procedures carried out by conformity assessment notified or accepted under the EEA Agreement, the EU-Swiss MRA or the EU-Turkey Customs Union.

The list below provides information on Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) that are notified and accepted by the parties to Annex V to the EFTA-Turkey FTA.
