The main discussions which took place during the internal meeting related to Financial Services, the Environment and Energy. Delegates had an exchange of views on the Regulations relating to the Financial Supervisory Authorities, the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB), Alternative Investment Fund Managers as well as the Regulation on Credit Rating Agencies. Another main point discussed was the revised Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) as well as the related ETS registry Regulation.
In the field of Energy, the main discussions concerned the third legislative package for the internal energy market.
The Community Legal Framework for a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) was also discussed during the internal meeting.
In the afternoon, the Subcommittees met with the European External Actions Service (EEAS).
The EU and the EFTA side also discussed a number of lists concerning the incorporation of acts into the EEA Agreement.
The next meeting of Subcommittees I-IV and Joint Subcommittees I-IV is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 18 September 2012 in Brussels.
