Delegations from the EFTA States and Bosnia and Herzegovina held their third round of negotiations on a free trade agreement from 20 to 22 September 2011 in Sarajevo.

The negotiations, launched in March 2011, continued with a focus on trade disciplines, trade facilitation and market access for industrial and agricultural products as well as for fish. Significant progress was achieved and a follow-up programme agreed with the objective of concluding the negotiations within the coming months.

In the negotiations, the EFTA team was headed by Ambassador Hanspeter Tschäni from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, while Assistant Minister Midhat Salic of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations led Bosnia and Herzegovina’s delegation.
