EFTA Council discusses developments in free trade negotiations

The Council discussed developments with respect to third countries and in particular the latest meetings held with Canada, Mercosur and Malaysia. Delegates were informed about the status of preparations for the EFTA Summer Ministerial meeting and about associated events to celebrate EFTA’s 60^th anniversary. The Council furthermore adopted two decisions relating to budgetary matters linked to the new EFTA House in Brussels. The delegates also held an exchange on policy developments including future relations with the UK.
