Agreement on enlargement of the EEA
Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway signed agreed minutes of the negotiations on the enlargement of the Agreement of the European Economic Area (EEA) with Croatia and the European External Action Service in Brussels on 20 November 2013. Once the signatory parties have completed their necessary procedures, the agreement will be signed and applied provisionally.
EEA Council discusses the development of the EEA Agreement
At the 40th EEA Council meeting, which took place on 18 November 2013, the EEA EFTA States and the European Union discussed the functioning of the EEA Agreement and a framework for a 2030 climate and energy policy.

At its meeting on 4 October, the EEA Joint Committee agreed to adopt ad referendum with the date of 8 October 2013, 45 legal acts including acts intended to secure the quality and safety of organs for transplantation, and to promote clean and energy-efficient road vehicles, as well as three adopting international accounting standards.
