On Tuesday 2 June, Secretary-General Henri Gétaz and Deputy Secretary-General Pascal Schafhauser met with Katrin Eggenberger, Liechtenstein Minister of Foreign Affairs in Vaduz. The meeting marked the first official visit in Liechtenstein since the outbreak of the coronavirus. Prior to the meeting with Eggenberger, the EFTA representatives paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Adrian Hasler.

First EFTA Council meeting of 2020

On 4 February, the first Council meeting of 2020 took place in Geneva. It is Switzerland’s turn to chair the EFTA Council and it has set the priorities for the first six months of the year. These are to evaluate the possibilities to establish greater transparency and to consolidate the work around a new EFTA approach to e-commerce.
