Interested in learning more about the functioning of the European Economic Area (EEA)?
Join us on 28 September for the Introduction to the European Economic Area (EEA) seminar.
The Seminar will be held at EFTA House on Avenue des Arts 19H in Brussels and part of it will be streamed online.The Seminar provides participants with a thorough understanding of the EEA Agreement, and how it integrates Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway into the EU's internal market.
The seminar consists of two parts:
Presentations (in person and streamed online) on the functioning of the EEA Agreement and current challenges.
Interactive Workshops (in person only, EFTA House Brussels). Participants can choose two of the following four sessions (all four sessions will run in parallel):
- EU Agencies: Implications for the EEA Agreement and how to address them
- EEA Law: Incorporation, scope and application
- EEA Enforcement: Surveillance and Judicial Control – run by ESA and EFTA Court
- Decision Shaping: How EEA EFTA States can influence EU legislation making (broad view on how to succeed, taking the EU industrial initiatives and digital transformation as case studies)
