
In a letter to the Commission, the Committee has expressed some views based on, among others, issues raised in the European Parliament / Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) Report dated 7 October 2010 on the future of European Standardisation.

The letter briefly addresses issues relating to inter alia the principle of national delegation, the speed of standardisation, cooperation between the European Standardisation Organisations (ESOs), participation of societal stakeholders and public authorities in standardisation and the inclusion of services in the European legal framework for standardisation.
