EFTA's Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee is the body in EFTA following the ongoing European Commission review of the European Standardisation System. The Commission is expected to present its “Standardisation Package” in April this year.

In a letter to the Commission, the Committee has expressed some views based on, among others, issues raised in the European Parliament / Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) Report dated 7 October 2010 on the future of European Standardisation.
