During the meeting under Swiss chairmanship, delegates exchanged views on the preparations of the upcoming EFTA Ministerial meeting. The Council also discussed current free trade negotiation and related processes, namely on Indonesia and India.
This was the first meeting since the new EFTA senior management took office.
The EFTA Council meets eight times per year at Ambassadorial level, and twice a year at Ministerial level. The next Council meeting is scheduled to take place on 8 November and the Ministerial on 23 November in Geneva.
