Dag W. Holter, new Deputy Secretary-General in Brussels

On 15 January 2015, Mr Dag Wernø Holter of Norway took up the post of Deputy Secretary-General at EFTA’s Brussels office. He will head the Association's work in relation to the management of the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Prior to joining the Association, Mr Holter was Norway's Ambassador to Iceland in Reykjavik. He has also served at Norway's Embassies and Missions in Beijing, Brussels, New York and Paris.

As Deputy Secretary-General, Mr Holter replaces Mr Helge Skaara, who now works for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Director-General for European Affairs.
