Part-time work and underemployment in EFTA countries

A Eurostat news release shows that the percentage of part-time workers aged 15 to 74 of the total employment in 2011 was 28.1 % for Norway and 35% for Switzerland.

A recent Eurostat publication showed that the annual inflation in Iceland of 6.7% for the period February 2011 to February 2012 was the highest amongst the countries in the European Economic Area (EEA).

EFTA countries' GDP per capita higher than EU27 average

According to a Eurostat press release of 13 December 2011, the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita in Norway, expressed in purchasing power standards (PPS), was 181% of the EU27 average. This represented a growth of five percentage points from 2009.
