Minister of Foreign Trade for Ecuador Mr. Diego Aulestia Valencia and Secretary-General of EFTA Kristinn F. Árnason.
The Minister of Foreign Trade for Ecuador Mr. Diego Aulestia Valencia visited the EFTA Secretariat today and met with Secretary-General Kristinn F. Árnason.
During the meeting, Minister Aulestia informed that he plans to visit his counterparts in the EFTA States in order to discuss Ecuador-EFTA trade relations.
At the EFTA Ministerial Meeting in Geneva in November last year, Ministers of the EFTA States expressed support for formalising cooperation with Ecuador through the signing of a joint declaration of cooperation. In the priorities of the Liechtenstein Chair for the first half of 2015, the aim to sign such a declaration with Ecuador is reiterated.
